ShaolinKillaB & ThatKiddCee - Shaolins Are Back - Out Now

shaolins are back
"Shaolins Are Back" is the debut turntablist collaboration
single of French producer Shaolin Killa B and American scratch
dj/turntablist ThatKiddCee.  Its out now, see the links at the bottom.  Here is some info from Domination Recordings & a track list:

This bangin' release combines the kung-fu, turntablist,
electronic and hip hop influences of Shaolin and Cee into an incredible
scratch-instrumental track!!! Definitely pushing the boundaries of
turntablism to new, exciting heights, while also uniting the hiphop /
experimental / turntablist scenes of France and the USA, showing how
global the turntablist movement really is!!! These guys are already
planning to bring more of their original styles on an EP in the near
future, but for now, enjoy something brand new and refreshing for your
ears!!!

Track list:
1.  Shaolins Are Back
2.Shaolins Are Back (Instrumental)
3.Scratchopoly 1 (song performance scratch samples)
4.Scratchopoly 2 (freestyle scratch sentence)

Olde Soul / Double K - Content (L)abel - 7" out now

content fool...

This ones out now and in Content (L)abel fashion, its a limited pressing. Links & sound clips below. Here is some info from the one sheet:
The mission begins with producer Olde Soul, setting the pace with “Taking Me Places,” a tale about weaving through L.A. nights. Blak King narrates the tale over hard drums and filtered bass, steered by vibes. This side of the journey ends with “Along the Way.” Los Angeles legend Double K (People Under the Stairs) detours with the melodic, funk tinged “Face to Face.” An extra treat concludes this project in the form of a “Bonus Beat.”

2tall - The Softer Diagram - Out Now

2tall - the softer diagram

I just heard this is now shipping from Content / Samplist.com & will be in stores on July 29th.  I don'tthink 2tall needs much introduction but I'll throw out a few things anyway.  He was featured on numerous Turntable Radio Shows (see the previous post), give a listen to Shifting Tides, my personal favorite, check out Senses Overloaded (free ep 2tall & lamont) & he is the man behind the Cuts Of Culture series featuring his tracks and tons of other great scratch tracks from people all over the world.  Oh and some of his tracks have been included in The DayMakers Podcasts here on tablist.net.  His approach to music and I think his focus (scratch vs production) has changed.  It all still has the 2tall sound & feel.  The Softer Diagram is available now from Samplist.com and will be available in stores July 29th.  Its released on the Content Label, & is probably somewhat limited so get it while you can.   Check out some Samples Here.

Mr. Trick, Taking it back.... Old School Turntable Radio - Check it.

If you haven't heard already the gang over at turntable radio is re-releasing their old Turntable Radio episodes every week.  They have always been available in real media format, but now they are mp3s.  Weather you haven't heard these shows since they were new or you've never heard them at all, this would be a good time to check them out.  These shows have been a huge inspiration and resource for me.  I seriously doubt tablist.net would be around if I wasn't able to hear so many dope artists making scratch music.  So big up to Mr. Trick & Laurent for making it happen.
